Biography

Irishman Alex O’Grady has signed with three-time team champions KMR Sport for this year’s GB4 Championship, and becomes the 20th driver to confirm their entry for the 2025 season.

The 16-year-old made his single-seater debut in the 2024 French F4 Championship, and was a podium finisher in his first year of car racing, following an accomplished karting career.

Alex’s success started in 2018, winning the Irish Cadet Championship aged nine. He followed that up by winning the IAME World Finals in 2019, also in the Cadet category.

He was leading the 2020 IAME Euro Series in X30 Mini before the COVID pandemic brought an end to his campaign, but returned to European competition in 2022 in the OK Junior and X30 Junior categories, finishing sixth in the IAME World Finals at Le Mans.

Alex then began his single-seater career with F4 testing as the 2022 season progressed. He participated in the FEED Racing F4 Academy at the end of 2023, making it to the final at Magny-Cours.

He stepped up to the French F4 championship in 2024, finishing 12th overall with two podium finishes at the Circuit de Lédenon and the Nurburgring, despite sitting out every test day throughout the season.

The Galway resident is now gearing up for the next step in his career, joining Megan Bruce and Lily-May Watkins in KMR Sport’s three-car line-up.
