The GB4 Championship will join GB3 at the inaugural Copa del Sol schedule across three premier Spanish venues in February 2027. The three-event, nine-race series, will be the first GB4 races to be held outside the UK.
The series will race alongside GB3 at MotorLand Aragón on 13/14 February, Circuito del Jarama on 20/21 February and the Circuito de Jerez for the Copa del Sol finale on 27/28 February.
Each two-day race event will feature a qualifying session and a race on the Saturday, with an additional qualifying and two races on the Sunday, making for a total of two qualifying sessions and three races per event.
Drivers will be able to take advantage of pre-event testing at all three meetings, with two days’ running at MotorLand Aragón and Circuito de Jerez and a single day at Circuito del Jarama.
The GB4 Copa del Sol will be registered as a National series in Spain, and will be open to drivers aged 15 and over, making for a perfect environment for racing newcomers to make their debuts, as well as those looking for additional seat time before the ‘main’ GB4 season starts at Snetterton in April.
The Copa del Sol will maintain GB4’s principles of outstanding value single-seater racing, with entry fees per event, including testing, capped at £3,250+VAT. Like in GB3, each team will be permitted to run four cars, one more than during the main season.
Full technical support at each race meeting will be provided by MSV, Pirelli and Sunoco Race Fuels.
Full regulations and additional event details will be available soon via a dedicated entry portal and website.
