Mayer Deonarine returns to GB4 with Graham Brunton Racing

19 February 2025

Canadian youngster Mayer Deonarine will reunite with Graham Brunton Racing as he makes a GB4 Championship return in 2025.

The 15-year-old Canadian contested the first three events of the 2024 campaign with the team and ended his GB4 stint with a strong run to fourth place at Donington Park after a series of eye-catching performances.

His GB4 entries last year were his first single-seater races and came after a successful car racing debut in the Radical North America Cup, where he became the youngest-ever podium finisher in the series’ history.

Following his GB4 exploits, Mayer returned to Radicals and became a multiple race winner, including a triple victory on the streets of Toronto.

Buoyed by that run of success and having reacquainted himself with single-seaters in the USA during the winter, the youngster is now gearing up for a full GB4 campaign this time around, rejoining fellow Canadian Callum Baxter at the Knockhill-based team.

Deonarine's team enjoys the full support of ASUS, with the brand thoughtfully integrated into every aspect of his racing journey, from his car and suit to the overall team setup. This partnership, along with the continued support of the Canadian Road To Racing organisation, a pioneering motorsport charity dedicated to fostering the development of young racing talent, is invaluable.

Mayer Deonarine said: “I’m thrilled to be back with Graham Brunton Racing for a full GB4 season. Last year was a great learning experience, and I’ve grown a lot since then. I’m ready to build on my successes and give it my all on track.”

Team Principal Craig Brunton said: “We’re delighted to bring Mayer back to the team and retain our lineup from the start of the 2024 season. Mayer has gained a lot more experience since this time last year, so with the mix of added knowledge and the pace we saw last year, we’re really hopeful he will continue that progress as he makes a full-time return to single-seater racing. We feel we’ve got a very strong lineup for the new GB4 season, and with Callum coming back too, we’ve got a great baseline to work with as we adapt to the new car for the 2025 season.”
