Ary Bansal, Isaac Phelps and Alex Kattoulas were the top-three finishers in the second race of the GB4 Championship season opening weekend at Donington Park. Here's how each driver reacted at the end of the contest.
Winner, Ary Bansal, Elite Motorsport:
"It felt good and the start was perfect. I just managed to ease into first place and drive away.
"We can't plan moves but I saw him [Phelps] defending so there was only one place to go to overtake him, so I had to go around the outside.
"It feels good, it's a redemption [from yesterday]!"
Second, Isaac Phelps, Elite Motorsport:
"Ary did a great job at the start and then got a gap, and I was just trying to defend. I had to fight with Alex, so Ary got a gap. Maybe I took a little too long to get up to pace but once I got up to speed I had good pace. A 1, 2, 3 for Elite, so it's a great result for the team.
"I had a good initial start but to be honest I just saw him behind me and I thought Jack [Taylor] would be on the outside. So when I saw him on the outside I was like 'oh ok, he's done that,' so it was a good move from him but I think I've got a lot to learn in single-seater racing."
Third, Alex Kattoulas, Elite Motorsport:
"All three cars on the podium, this is what we want, so I'm happy for the team and happy for me!
"I was a bit too far back [at the start], I needed to get into third first before I could think about the lead, but a good job by Ary.
"I just need to have a better qualifying, it's pretty simple what I need to do, that's all!"
