This is it! The 2025 GB4 Championship season starts today at Donington Park!
The biggest grid in the series' history will do battle three times in the East Midlands this weekend, with today's action including qualifying at 11.50 and the first race of the new era at 17.30.
An epic grid of 25 Tatuus MSV GB4-025 single-seaters will do battle, with drivers from around the world looking to start their season in the best style possible.
It's a colossal grid, but perhaps the closest matched line-up we've ever had too. Less than a tenth of a second covered the top-four drivers at the end of testing on Friday, with the top-19 drivers within a second of the pace!
How do you pick a pre-season favourite out of that? Quite simply, you can't! Pre-event testing resulted in five different drivers topping the six sessions with Ary Bansal the only driver to lead more than one test at Donington Park, so is instantly one to consider.
As is Elite Motorsport teammate Alex Kattoulas, who set the quickest time of all, first thing on Thursday morning. The third Elite car of Isaac Phelps led session three on Thursday, Hillspeed's Dan Guinchard started Friday on top, and Fortec's Jack Taylor also led a session on Friday afternoon.
Douglas Motorsport's Luke Hilton didn't top a session this week, but has been rapid everywhere in pre-season, while Arden's Leon Wilson and Hillspeed's Leandro Juncos were very well placed yesterday.
Enzo Hallman (Douglas) and Thomas Ingram Hill (Fortec) were also inside the day's top-10, which was covered by just half a second.
So there's just a few contenders for pole later today, but testing is testing, let's see who emerges on top when the real action commences just before midday!
