Fortec Motorsports’ championship leader Linus Granfors left it late to top the second GB4 Championship session of the day at Donington Park.
The Swedish driver set a time of 1m28.850s on his 17th lap to pip session one pace setter Lucas Blakeley by 0.161s, though times were slower than this morning.
Granfors and Blakeley were almost three tenths of a second clear of the rest of the pack, headed by Arden’s Leon Wilson, who was 0.025s ahead of Elite’s Alisha Palmowski. Graham Brunton Racing’s Callum Baxter and Fox Motorsport’s Branden Templeton were close behind in fifth and sixth.
Title challenger Harry Burgoyne was seventh quickest for KMR Sport, a tenth clear of Idola Motorsport’s newcomer Aleksander Mizera, with Jack Taylor (Fortec) and Finn Harrison (Elite) completing the top-10, which was covered by eight tenths of a second.
The final session of the day is due to commence at 16.35.
