Elite Motorsport’s Finn Harrison claimed victory in the final GB4 Championship race of the season at Brands Hatch.
In a dramatic season finale, Harrison took the lead at the end of lap one after Callum Baxter went wide at Clark Curve, and then survived a safety car restart after big drama at Druids with multiple cars tangling.
He made an excellent restart and claimed victory by 3.518s over teammate Alisha Palmowski, who rose from sixth on the grid, and capitalised on drama for Harry Burgoyne to take second in the championship standings.
Newly crowned champion Linus Granfors delivered a true champion's drive to go from 11th to third as he cemented his championship crown with the final spot on the podium.
Fox Motorsport's Branden Templeton just missed out on a podium, and was part of a tense scrap for second with Palmowski and Granfors.
After leading early on, Baxter was shuffled down to fifth, finishing 0.742s clear of KMR Sport's Chloe Grant.
Burgoyne started the race in second place in the standings, but suffered a broken front wing before the safety car and had to pit for repairs. He fought back to seventh but it wasn't quite enough for him to claim the championship runner's-up spot.
Arden's Leon Wilson was passed by Burgoyne on the final lap and settled for eighth, with Megan Bruce (Fox) and Dan Hickey (Fortec) the final finishers.
Granfors ended the year with a 45-point margin to the field at the top of the standings, while Palmowski's rise up the order in the final contest proved pivotal, as she provisionally pipped Burgoyne to the runner-up spot by a single point.
