Blakeley ends campaign with another Omologato One to Watch Award

01 October 2024

KMR Sport’s Lucas Blakeley added yet another accolade to his haul in 2024, by claiming the final Omologato One to Watch Award prize at Brands Hatch.

The British driver finished second and then a win across the opening two races of the weekend, scoring a total of 64 points, eight points more than his nearest contender.

Blakeley therefore claimed his second award timepiece in a row, having also claimed the prize from the UK’s leading motorsport-orientated watch manufacturer at Donington Park.

Four different drivers claimed the prize through the 2024 season, awarded to the highest scoring driver across the first two races of each meeting. Brandon McCaughan was the top scorer at two of the opening three events of the year (Oulton Park and Donington Park), while eventual champion Linus Granfors claimed the prize twice, both at Silverstone.

Vice-champion Alisha Palmowski was the winner at Snetterton, while Blakeley’s campaign ended with two prizes in a row.
