2023 GB4 Championship runner-up Cooper Webster will compete at the legendary Macau GP this weekend, the first graduate to compete at the event.
The Australian won five races in GB4 last year, in his first taste of European racing action, and fought eventual champion Tom Mills for outright honours.
Following his season in GB4, Webster went on to become the Indian F4 champion, and has won in Australian F4 this year at Sepang, the former venue of the Malaysian Grand Prix.
Renewing his links with Evans GP, who he raced with in GB4, Webster now steps up to Formula Regional machinery for the world famous event in the Far East.
Track action has already commenced, with Webster seventh in the first practice session, and eighth in qualifying one on Thursday.
Amongst his rivals on track include fellow GB4 race-winner Kai Daryanani, his teammate at Evans GP, plus numerous drivers with experience in FIA Formula 3, GB3 and the Formula Regional European Championship.
Further track activity takes place on Friday with the second practice and qualifying sessions, before the qualifying race on Saturday and the Grand Prix itself on Sunday.
