Wilson ends Snetterton testing on top again

09 May 2024

Arden Motorsport’s Leon Wilson ended the Snetterton GB4 test with the quickest time on Thursday, as he found half a second extra in pace compared to his Wednesday best.

The British driver’s transponder only recorded times in the final session of the week, in which he was almost four tenths of a second clear of the pack. For the day as a whole, he was 0.176s clear of Elite Motorsport’s Finn Harrison, who was quickest in the first two sessions, with his session one effort being his Thursday best.

Harrison’s teammate Alisha Palmowski set her best time in the opening session also, and was quickest in session three, and wound up third and only 0.034s away from her fellow Elite runner.

The team continued its testing programme with a young karting graduate, who ended the test in fourth place and within nine tenths of a second of Wilson.

Idola’s Aleksander Mizera and Preptech’s Flame Airikkala both registered their best times of the test, with the former finding eight tenths of a second compared to yesterday, and the latter gaining 1.1 seconds.
