Fortec Motorsport’s Linus Granfors set the best GB4 lap of the week so far in the first Friday session at Silverstone.
In sunny, dry conditions, the Swede registered a best effort of 2m00.884s, quicker than the official GB4 lap record at the circuit, putting him over a second clear of the pack.
Elite Motorsport’s Alisha Palmowski was his nearest rival, and was 0.080s clear of Arden’s Leon Wilson, with Graham Brunton Racing’s Callum Baxter fourth.
Lucas Blakeley was the lead KMR Sport runner in fifth, a tenth clear of Fox Motorsport’s Branden Templeton, with Elite’s Finn Harrison just six thousandths of a second further back.
Harry Burgoyne put his KMR car into eighth place, 0.059s clear of Fortec’s Jack Taylor, with Fox Motorsport’s Megan Bruce completing the top-10.
The session also saw the new Tatuus MSV GB4-025 car take to the circuit in an official GB4 session for the first time, with Max Marzorati at the wheel, with the car running without a timing transponder.
The second session of the day is due to commence at 13.40.
