Fortec Motorsports’ Linus Granfors set the quickest time in the second session of the day at Silverstone, completing two days of testing at the British Grand Prix venue, with the Swedish driver topping the times in all five sessions.
Granfors session two time of 2m01.583s put him 0.172s clear of the field, though it was his morning time that proved the quickest of all.
KMR Sport’s Lucas Blakeley went second quickest in the session, 0.033s clear of fellow Snetterton winner Alisha Palmowski in her Elite Motorsport car.
The second KMR car of Harry Burgoyne completed a top four completed by a fraction over half a second.
Palmowski’s teammate Finn Harrison was fifth quickest, three tenths clear of Arden’s Leon Wilson, with Fox Motorsport’s Branden Templeton only 0.018s further back.
KMR Sport’s Chloe Grant was eighth fastest, 0.006s clear of Idola Motorsport’s tester Aleksander Mizera, with Fortec’s Jack Taylor completing the top-10.
The Tatuus MSV GB4-025 car completed its first day of official testing in the session, setting competitive lap times on just its second day of running.
Granfors’ morning time put him 0.871s clear of the pack on the combined times for the day, with Blakeley and Palmowski second and third courtesy of their session two efforts.
Wilson and Callum Baxter (Graham Brunton Racing) were fourth and fifth overall thanks to their morning efforts, while Burgoyne and Harrison were next up based on their afternoon laps.
Templeton, Taylor and Fox Motorsport’s Megan Bruce completed the Friday top-10.
The GB4 field returns to action tomorrow, with qualifying scheduled for 11am.
