GB4 qualifying starts at 11am - how to follow the action

27 July 2024

Qualifying for the GB4 Championship at Silverstone is due to commence at 11am, with live timing available to follow by clicking here.

Linus Granfors heads into the event having topped every session in testing for Fortec Motorsport. It's a venue he goes well at, having topped the times in pre-season testing with a lap record-beating effort, and won both races at the venue back in April.

The Swedish driver was eight tenths of a second clear of the field in testing on Friday, but you can be sure that qualifying should be a lot closer, especially considering the top four were covered by a quarter of a second at the end of Thursday.

As at Snetterton, Lucas Blakeley (KMR Sport) and Alisha Palmowski (Elite) have been right up at the sharp end all week.

Championship leader Harry Burgoyne (KMR) has challenged the top-three in testing, while Elite's Finn Harrison was a double pole sitter at Silverstone earlier in the year.

Leon Wilson (Arden) and Branden Templeton (Fox) have also proven to be contenders in testing, while Chloe Grant (KMR), Jack Taylor (Fortec) and Megan Bruce (Fox) have all shown top-10 pace.

Qualifying will decide the grids for races one and two, with the starting order for race one, which is due to start at 14.25, decided by each driver's fastest laps, while the second grid is formed by each driver's second quickest times. All drivers within 103% of the fastest time in qualifying will be reversed on the grid for race three.

All races this weekend will be shown live via the GB4 live timing page, the championship's official Facebook page, and the MSV TV YouTube channel.
