Granfors lowers Thursday testing benchmark in Silverstone session two

25 July 2024

Fortec Motorsports’ title challenger Linus Granfors posted the fastest time of the day so far in the second GB4 session at Silverstone.

The Swedish driver registered a 2m01.547s lap, a tenth of a second faster than his session one effort from this morning. That was enough to put him 1.245s quicker than the rest of the field, headed by KMR Sport’s Snetterton race winner Lucas Blakeley.

Blakeley was just 0.029s quicker than Elite’s Finn Harrison, who unlike the majority of runners, set his best time right at the end of the 25 minute test.

Arden’s Leon Wilson was a tenth of a second further back in fourth place, 0.237s clear of the second Elite machine of Alisha Palmowski.

KMR Sport’s Harry Burgoyne put himself in sixth place, 0.062s behind Palmowski and 0.045s ahead of Fortec’s Jack Taylor, with Fox Motorsport’s Branden Templeton eighth.

Callum Baxter (Graham Brunton Racing) and Megan Bruce (Fox Motorsport) completed the top-10 runners with one more session remaining today, due to commence at 16.35.
