GB4 2024 in stats

30 December 2024

Linus Granfors proved the driver to beat in the 2024 GB4 Championship, as he became the first overaseas contender to win MSV’s entry-level single-seater category. But did he top every chart in 2024? Let’s have a look at the year’s stats…

Most wins – Linus Granfors (six)
The eventual champion’s six wins were vital to his cause, and he marked himself out as one to watch by going from last on the road to his first victory in the final contest of the Oulton Park season opener. That sparked a stunning run of early-season success, winning both races at Silverstone (the third was cancelled due to poor weather) and won the opener at Donington Park to make it four wins on the bounce. Additional wins at Silverstone and again at Donington meant he simply needed to keep his nose clean at Brands Hatch to secure the title. Lucas Blakeley, who entered the second half of the year won a quarter of the contests he entered to take four wins, with Alisha Palmowski making a name for herself with three. Harry Burgoyne earned two at the end of the year, as did Finn Harrison and early-season entrant Brandon McCaughan, while Branden Templeton triumphed at Donington in the middle of the campaign.

Those performances have been recognised, with the Lancastrian signed up to lead Red Bull Racing’s charge in F1 Academy next year. Champion Granfors was the only other driver to earn a double figure podium haul, while KMR duo Burgoyne and Blakeley took nine each, a 75% hit rate for the latter! In total, 13 drivers stood on the GB4 podium in 2024.

But he was only two clear of late season flier Blakeley, while Burgoyne’s fightback late in the season ensured he led 32 laps.
