Fox Motorsport has confirmed Holly Miall as the first member of the team’s GB4 Championship line-up for 2025 as the series enters a new era.
The Chelmsford racer steps up to GB4 after two years with the Fox’s Ginetta Junior line-up and will be spearhead the team’s third season in the category.
Fox, from Maldon, Essex, have been one of the front-running teams in GB4 since winning on their debut weekend at Oulton Park in 2023. Liam McNeilly finished third in the Drivers’ Championship that season with Branden Templeton fourth this year.
Holly, 17, has already gained experience in testing aboard the series’ new Tatuus MSV GB4-025 car, which will be introduced next year, and in Fox’s 2024-spec Tatuus F4-T014.
Next year marks a first foray into open-wheel racing for Holly, who joined Fox in Ginetta Juniors for 2023 after serving her apprenticeship in karting, and who is supported by Digiphore, OJM Insulations and Grifit.
A top-10 finisher in her rookie season, Holly continued to gain experience in 2024 at circuits as diverse as Silverstone’s grand prix track to Anglesey on the North Wales coast.
An extra incentive for Holly is the £50,000 prize that will be awarded by series promoter MotorSport Vision to the highest-placed female driver in the standings, to be put towards a potential drive in the female-only F1 Academy Series that supports Formula 1 grands prix globally.
Holly Miall said: “I’m so excited to step up to GB4 with Fox Motorsport. I feel like part of the family here and I know the team will do everything they can to help me prepare for the start of the season. I knew from my first time in the car that a GB4 single-seater was much better-suited to my driving style than what I’ve raced before. It’s physically harder to drive, we have slick tyres and there’s just a lot more going on all the time. The £50,000 prize for F1 Academy is obviously a target as it’s somewhere I’d love to be in the future, but for now I’ll be focusing on doing the best job I can over the winter to be ready to go for the first race. As ever, a huge thank you to Digiphore, OJM Insulations and Gridit, who are supporting me for another year.”
Paul McNeilly, Team Principal, said: “We’re delighted to see Holly move up to the GB4 Championship with Fox Motorsport for 2025. She’s a determined driver and a fast learner who’s made significant progress since she began her winter testing programme. Holly is a very precise driver and a proper single-seater like the new GB4 car will reward that far more than a lower-power car like the Ginetta Junior did. We established our GB4 squad to provide a pathway for our Ginetta Junior drivers to progress into career series and seeing Holly step up in the same way Liam McNeilly and Sid Smith have previously is proof that the system is working.”
