Ginetta Junior contender Finn Harrison will make the switch to single-seaters at Donington Park, as he joins the GB4 Championship with Elite Motorsport.
The 17-year-old from North Wales has contested almost 30 Ginetta Junior races, the last six with Elite. In total, Harrison registered four podiums this season, and finished eighth overall in the category.
His series debut had come the year beforehand with six races in the main season, and three in the Winter Series.
The Lancashire-born driver now makes the step up to single-seaters with the same team for the season finale in the East Midlands, having completed test days at Donington Park and Jerez in Spain.
Finn Harrison said: “I'm really looking forward to racing a GB4 car.
“I've settled in very well since joining Elite in July and so staying with them for my GB4 introduction was an obvious choice.
“I’m under no illusion that with minimal testing, and racing against an experienced GB4 field, Donington will be tough for me, but it'll be great experience for the future."
Team Owner Eddie Ives said: “I’m really glad that Finn is jumping up into GB4 for the final round with us.
“Unsurprisingly, we’re treating it as a ‘testing’ opportunity for him prior to a likely 2024 campaign.
“We’ve done a little bit of testing with Finn so we are looking forward to seeing how he gets on in race conditions at Donington Park.”
