Elite Motorsport has confirmed that Finn Harrison will remain with the team for a full campaign in the GB4 Championship next season.
The Lancashire-born teenager made his single-seater debut with the squad at the final event of the year at Donington Park in October, just missing out on a podium finish in only his second race, as he took fourth place.
The North Wales-based driver initially joined the team in July this year as he continued his first full Ginetta Junior campaign. The 17-year-old claimed four podiums in the series, finishing eighth overall, having made his debut in selected races during 2022.
From the summer, Harrison’s attention began to turn towards single-seaters, as he embarked upon a testing programme with Elite, which took him as far as Jerez in Spain.
Making his GB4 debut at Donington, he impressed immediately by qualifying sixth fastest in tricky wet conditions, before taking fourth place in race two, and eighth in the final contest.
Finn Harrison said: “I’m really looking forward to racing in GB4 with Elite full time next year.
“I’ll be working hard with them over the winter in preparation for when the season begins over Easter.”
Elite Motorsport Team Owner Eddie Ives said: “We’re very much looking forward to having Finn as part of the team for the GB4 Championship in 2024.
“We’ve worked with him since the latter half of 2023 and his commitment and determination has been impressive.
“From what we’ve seen during testing, we’re hopeful that he will be able to battle at the front of the GB4 grid.”
